Day Surf Camps
DAY CAMPS are one-week surf camps in Jacksonville Beach, running from 9-Noon, Monday-Friday.
OPTIONAL FULL DAY CAMPS during weeks 2 and 6 there is the option of half day or full day of surf camps. Full day camp will include the regular morning instruction with a lunch break at noon and free surf sessions with instructors to further build on the skills you are learning! Full day camps are from 9am - 5pm
DAILY ACTIVITIES:
Every morning will begin with a devotional followed by surf instruction. Water safety and awareness, surf etiquette, wave selection and positioning, surfboard selection and surf forecasting are all topics covered during camp. Then it's time to surf! Later, we'll break for a snack, have more instruction and then....more SURFING!
THE CAMPERS:
Typical camps are composed of campers from ages 6 - 18** and are an even mix of boys and girls. Campers work in groups that fit their surfing ability; from first time surfers to highly advanced, each surfer will receive excellent instruction to develop and increase their skills.
**Note: Campers should come with a sense of adventure and willingness to experience the ocean. Please consider the maturity and physical capabilities of your campers (especially, younger kids) before enrolling. EQUIPMENT:
Campers can either bring their own boards or use one of our "soft surface" surfboards. Campers are also provided a colored rashguard for easy identification in the water.
WHEN & WHERE:
Check-in on Monday begins at 8:30am and the daily schedule is from 9:00am to 12:00pm. We're located at the EPIC House - 107 3rd Avenue South, Jacksonville Beach. Drop-off and pick-up are both in the "Loop" of the EPIC House parking lot! Please do not use the 3rd Ave. beach access to pick up kids, as pulling in and out could potential be dangerous to campers and staff.
WHAT TO BRING:
Campers should come with plenty of suncreen applied at least 30 minutes before hitting the water, a towel, and plenty of stoke!! Aaaaw Yeeeaaah!
